Basic Microcontroller Programming and Application
This course is designed for application engineers and technicians who are involved in the
development of prototypes and for those who introduce innovations in the workplace. It offers
a 70% practice and 30% theory training. The participants are provided with complete development
workstations and reference manuals. The essentials of microcontroller programming are
learned through the step-by-step tasks covering machine hand coding to assembler. They are
gradually exposed to input/output ports, interrupts, timers and serial communication
applications using the widely used MCS-51 (AT89C2051) series of microcontroller. They further
move to advanced interfacing applications for the dot matrix LED display, dot matrix LCD
display, EEPROM and keypad matrix. An institutional assessment is
administered at the end of the training program. The target exercises are stored on a compact
disc and provided to each participant.
The 40-hour course on Basic Microcontroller Programming and Application will be held every
Saturday from September 4 toOctober 2, 2010 (every Saturday, except May 1) from 8am to 5pm. The workshop fee
is only Php6,500 (including handouts, snacks and lunch). A total of 20 students will be
accepted.
